Scouting Report: Team officials agonized over the choice of the Honorary Flower Cats, because it is such a high-profile position. "These cats will not only have to nap during the wedding, but they could be required to cough up a hairball, whine to go outside, or chase a catnip toy," said one team official who asked to remain anonymous. Because the position is so sensitive, the cats will stay at the Bride and Groom's house during the ceremony so they can perform their duties without being distracted by the goings-on. "We chose Angus and Spike because we felt they'd put in the work and should get some recognition," said the same official. Both cats have promised to diligently practice between now and the wedding. |
