Scouting Report: Tom was a virtual lock for Groom after The Boston Globe reported that he'd purchased an engagement ring. "When I heard he'd been sniffing around jewelry stores, I knew Tom had his eyes on the prize," said a veteran wedding guest. "I just had a feeling that he'd be the one standing at the altar come September 27." Many observers were worried that the Grossman/Reilly wedding would feature a poor beer selection, but the choice of Tom as the Groom assures that guests will be able to choose from a diverse and well-rounded list of beers. "I was envisioning kegs of Bud Light," said one potential guest, "but now that Tom's been named the Groom, I know we'll have a good selection of microbrews to choose from." All reports from the wedding indicate that Tom acquitted himself admirably as Groom.
