Although the wedding will no doubt be the highlight of your visit to Vermont (if not the highlight of your year), we thought you might want some activities to keep you occupied while you're not wedding-ifying.  Here's a very short list of some things to do in the area:

Montshire Museum of Sciencee@valley.net
Montshire is a hands-on science museum with dozens of interactive exhibits on the natural and physical sciences. Located on a 110-acre site near the Connecticut River, Montshire has a network of easy-to-navigate walking trails. Open seven days a week, 10 am to 5 pm. Located off I-91 in Norwich, Vt. Admission: $5.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 3-17. Under 3 free.  www.montshire.net

Billings Farm and Museum
A premiere working dairy farm, featuring interactive farm programs & activities and award-winning historical exhibits. Admission: $9.00 adults; 13-17 $7.00; 5-12 $4.50; 3-4 $2.  www.billingsfarm.org

Cornish Colony Gallery and Museum
The Cornish Colony Museum at "Mastlands" on Route 12-A has the largest display of Maxfield Parrish paintings in the country, as well as displays of over twenty other artists and sculptors who lived and worked in the Cornish/ Plainfield area.  Admission $5 regular, $3 seniors. Lunch and tea served on the open patio overlooking the famous Rose Nichols gardens.  www.almagilbert.com

Dartmouth College
Dartmouth College is in Hanover, NH.  Hanover (also called "Hangover" by those crazy college kids) is a cute little college town with some interesting shops and restaurants.

If you're like many people, you hear "Vermont" and immediately think "Ben & Jerry's."  Yes, the famous ice cream factory is in Vermont, but it's a good 90 minutes from Sharon.  Some people might say it's not really worth the drive, but if that's your thing you can get more info at www.vtliving.com/attractions/benjerrys/.

If you simply can't wait for a longer list of things to do, you can check out www.vnews.com/uvlinks.htm or  www.valley.net... we've been told that they're the arbiters of all things fun.
